Hey Aadar, haven't seen you for awhile and am getting terribly antsy about it. I can't tell you how keen I am for you and mum to be back in our home! well, i guess a little wait will make it that much sweeter. I'm planning to take a break a little later and assemble your cot... and find some cool stuff to put on it for you. Pheroza fui called earrrly this morning to get our postal address to send some stuff for you. (I suspect it contains your most prized possession for the next year - pacifiers). Kaushik mama and Amishi mami have posted a really sweet message for you... so dont forget to check it out.

15th june

You had your first immunization shots today. You seem to have taken it okay. I opened the window today... oops dont tell Nani! hopefully no mosquitoes entered! We also went to visit Dr. Milan our favourite gp to show mums hand and parade you. You loved both activities - being outside in the fresh air. It was the first time you've been awake and not wanting to feed , very happy to move around. When you get home, trust me we will do lots of walkabouts. Mum has decided to stay till July 15th so you will see a lot less of me darling as I have to get moving on my work. I promise you we will bond big time when you get here.

Sleep, poop and smile, life is beautiful!

The camera isnt doing to well... what with me excessively sticking it in your face! Just to let you know that you proved us wrong yet again. Slept like a log and behaved like a angel since the top feed has resumed and how, today I had my first dose of being pee'd and pooped on. Well as they say its just the beginning. I think you have lost that grumpy look (mostly) now that the digestive issues are slowly being sorted out. You gave me a half smile, mum thinks its just gassy relief. I'm not convinced because I saw the same expression on your face post the poop. Like any good surti we have mentioned poop several times in our conversation and that means we move on back to food...
Mum gives you the top feed through a contraption which you suck at only if theres something in it and manage to whistle at the end of every sip to indicate to mum that another teaspoon is due, much to nanas amusement. I'll be seeing you tommorrow at the doc Rajiv's place so till then sleep tight.

Dearest Sil & Eruch,Congrats! Went to see Aadar on Saturday and you'll be delighted to hear he's a Surti to the core - the appetite, I mean! Believe you me, we were there for more than an hour and all that he did was to feed! But he's real cute, with a head full of hair that sits very neatly!It was good to see both your sons. Jehangir I think has taken charge of the baby wholly and solely, so Pooja's lucky! When the baby's not feeding Jehangirji has him in his arms continuously! The nurses were telling him he was giving the baby a bad habit already!It was good talking to you over the phone too.Love,Sil

We were wondering if आदेर्स cousins would like to post any messages for him...? hint ;) cy-av-ro-div (मामा-मामी/काका-काकी/फुई/दादी) Now am I behaving like an obsessive father or what! I think it would be cool for आदर to see messages written from people he's going to grow to love very much and what they thought about when he was born! As judge I will encourage my pouty son to give big big kissys and hugs to all contributors... i suspect he will do it anyway!

11th june

Last night, you were driving mum crazy with your constant hunger, She sat up all night with you. I left this morning for our home in Versova, Mum told me soon after you fell asleep without any top feed. My darling owl- you have it all wrong nights are for sleeping and days for partying!

10th June

Dr. Rajiv told us we could go home. Mum was thrilled as she was feeling cooped up in the hospital. We took you to Nana- Nani's home in ghatkopar. They were thrilled to see you and had prepared Jimu mamu's room for you and mum. I had to spend the night with mum and you as you were throwing tantrums every few minutes. We loved every bit of it - even if it meant being awake all night. We have been warned that this is only the beginning! Jay had come over and tried his hand at keeping you happy - i think he did a great job!

9th June Jam kaka

Jam kaka came all the way from Bangalore to see you. You behaved really well! Tehmi Master, Tehmi Morris, Sil-Cy, diana and Zenobia also came to visit and you proved to be a good Surti by making everyone wait endlessly whilst you fed.

Together finally

Finally Ma, you and me got to spend some quality time. You spent most of the night in the room with us. Kept us entertained till the wee hours of the morning, when ma sent you to the nursery to get some sleep! Needless to mention 8th June - you have slept through most of the day and been proclaimed a well behaved baby by all visitors. Kalindi fui was here today and you snuggled up quite well!!! Jam kaka is coming tommorrow, please do your angel act for him!

Your first day.

Mum is back.

I got a few moments with you alone in the room, where we said our ashem vohus and Yathar vairyos - soon after Mum is back safe and sound in the room. I'm thrilled !!! you were brought in for a feed and wailed on being taken back. Heres a pic of mum back in the room. (Darling, please dont be confused about the dates, could only blog the photos when i got back home post mid-night).

Night - 5th june 2007

Darling Aader, snuggly asleep in the baby room at 10am . welcome to the surti genes! you were the largest baby there and you slept like a log! Love you.

Moment of truth

Nitin nana and Purnima nani came in followed by Maheep, Farida, Ashwini, Rakesh and Kusum. At around 6;30 ma was wheeled into the theatre ready to deliver you. I requested Dr. Rajiv to be present when you made an appearance. My wish was granted when at around 7:35 I got called in. Ma was awake but unaware of the surgery because of the anesthesia, we held hands and chatted a bit.At 7:37 pm I saw your head emerge with the umbilical cord wrapped around your neck, which Doc Rajiv pointed out to me. Thank god we decided to have you today! Unravelled by the doc you were fully out at 7:38pm and the cord was cut. I just stood transfixed holding ma's hand. The doc put you on ma's chest for a bit and you stopped wailing. You were then put in my arms, It felt amazing.

Thats ma, having a nap this afternoon post some inducement treatment, none of it effective as you can see ma having a nap.

Hi darling, We went in for a checkup this moring and ma ended up being admitted. Dr. Rajiv Punjabi recommended we have you today! Let the fun begin! As you can see we were having quite a blast!
